Seventeen-year-old Sam is entering Bridgeport High School early in his senior year. Here he is treated as an outsider right from the start, also due to his small body size. Only his classmate Annie befriends him. Sam falls in love with Vicky, who is in a relationship with Kyle, the school's most popular basketball player. When he asks the school psychologist for help to become more popular, the latter advises him to lie and thereby make himself more interesting in front of his classmates. So Sam begins to invent stories: he would drive a Porsche, his father was a rock star, he would hit every basket at basketball, Vicky and the attractive teacher Mrs. Moran would be in love with him and a lot more.

After an argument with his parents, Sam stormed into his room and slams the door behind him, breaking the mirror in the door. When he wakes up the next morning and goes to school, he notices that all of his lies have suddenly come true. First of all, Sam enjoys his new popularity. He's the star of the basketball team, drives a Porsche, his father is a rock star, Mrs. Moran adores him, and he even meets Vicky, which, however, draws Kyle's displeasure on him. Gradually, however, Sam realizes that his new life is not all positive. At the latest when his parents want to get a divorce and Annie turns away from him, he wishes his old life back. He manages to persuade Annie to have a talk in the cafeteria and to reconcile with her. She then confesses to him that she has more than just friendly feelings for him. Vicky overhears the conversation and becomes extremely jealous, whereupon her makeup mirror falls to the floor and breaks.

When Sam comes to school the next day and has an important basketball game, he doesn't hit a single basket. All other lies are no longer real either, only the Porsche remains with him. Although he's now an outsider again, he's glad of his life regained, and eventually he gets together with Annie too.

Full of It - Lies Come True received rather moderate to negative reviews. The editorial staff of Cinema judged: "Many gags are just bad". The Rotten Tomatoes website lists 18 reviews of the film, only 1 of which is positive. Of around 15,500 user reviews posted on the site, 45 percent are positive.
