Kramer Morgenthau

Kramer Morgenthau (born December 1966 in Cambridge , Massachusetts ) is an American cameraman .

Life

Kramer Morgenthau was born in Cambridge as the son of the television producer Henry Morgenthau III and the Austrian migrant Ruth Schachter, who fled to the USA during the Second World War . He is also the grandson of the former finance minister of the United States Henry Morgenthau and great-grandson of former US Ambassador Henry Morgenthau . While his mother was a political advisor at Brandeis University , Morgenthau traveled to Africa , Europe and other places with his father, who was making documentaries for PBS .

After working as an assistant for other companies and documentary filmmakers, Morgenthau studied photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology and graduated in 1989 in film studies from the University of Rochester . Since his feature film debut as a cameraman with the comedy drama Multiple Futures , which appeared in 1995 , Morgenthau has made films such as Dogtown , Godsend and The Perfect Crime . He has also been nominated five times for an Emmy for his extensive television work .
