Scott Moore

Scott Moore (* in Honolulu , Hawaii , United States) is an American screenwriter and film director . He often works with his friend Jon Lucas .

Life

Moore is an alumni of the University of Colorado Boulder .

While working as assistant to screenwriter Daniel Petrie, Jr. , he met Jon Lucas , whom he befriended and who later became his partner in the film business. Together, Moore and Lucas wrote the scripts for several successful films, including My Sweetheart, Our Family and Me (2008) and The Womanizer - The Night of Ex-Girlfriends (2009).

Their breakthrough as screenwriters came with their script for Hangover (2009), which earned them a nomination for a British Academy Film Award for Best Original Screenplay and a Writers Guild of America Award .

They finally made their directorial debut in 2013 with the comedy 21 & Over .

In 2014, Moore and Lucas co-created the television series Mixology , which was broadcast in the United States on ABC . Mixology is about a group of people who meet one evening in a bar in Manhattan, each episode depicting the evening from the point of view of different characters. The series was discontinued by ABC in May 2014, after only producing one season.
