Office Christmas Party , also Dirty Office Party is an American comedy film of two directors Will Speck and Josh Gordon from the year 2016 . The film was released in US cinemas on December 9, 2016, and in Germany it started one day earlier.

Carol Vanstone is the CEO of the fictional company Zenotek , where her party-hungry brother Clay runs the Chicago office. After Carol announces that he will close this branch, Clay and his technical assistant Josh and the other colleagues come up with something to save their jobs: they throw a huge Christmas party in the office in the hope of impressing a potential customer. However, the party gets completely out of hand. Inspired by a scene in the opening race of 2 Fast 2 Furious , Clay tries to jump over a bascule bridge over the Chicago River , causing a city-wide internet outage. As you have learned, the potential customer was terminated on the same day, so he had no job to place.

Josh and some employees find themselves in a completely destroyed office the next morning. However, the technician Tracey, it is possible the whole city wireless Internet access over power lines (quasi Wireless PowerLAN permit), in implementation of an idea where she had previously worked for four years. This innovation saved the branch and everyone kept their job.

background

The film was directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon , best known for their work on The Ice Princes (2007) and In Love With You (2010). Filming began in Atlanta , Georgia , in mid-March 2016 . Further recordings took place in Chicago from the end of the month. The film is set in Chicago and the office building is on Federal Building Plaza.

The unrated version of the production is around five minutes longer than the theatrical version.

The film received mostly mixed reviews. At Metacritic , the film received a Metascore of 43/100 based on 33 reviews, and at Rotten Tomatoes , 44 percent of the 116 reviews were positive.
