Karan Soni (born January 8, 1989 in New Delhi ) is an American actor of Indian descent who is best known for the role of the taxi driver Dopinder in the Deadpool films and who has established himself mainly through comedy roles.

Career

Karan Soni has been an actor since 2010. Initially, he mainly took on guest roles in series such as Touch , Are You There, Chelsea? , The Middle or The Neighbors . In 2013 he was cast in a recurring role as Nash in the series Betas , which was discontinued after only one season.

Soni also made other series appearances with Melissa & Joey , The Goldbergs , 100 Things to High School , The Grinder - Always Right or Silicon Valley . In 2015 he appeared in the series Other Space as Capt. See Stewart Lipinski . In the same year he also took on the role of Martin , whom he played in Blunt Talk until 2016 .

His film appearances are largely limited to comedies or comedic roles. He was able to gain greater international fame through the role of the taxi driver Dopinder from the film Deadpool . Soni also made other film appearances with the Office Christmas Party , Ghostbusters or Girls' Night Out from 2017. Despite his relatively short career as an actor, Soni has already been involved in over 40 film and television productions.
