The German-language first broadcast was on August 5, 2016 on the pay TV channel TNT Comedy . The series is about a plane crash on a desert island and is a parody of the television series Lost .

In October 2014, TBS first ordered the series' pilot episode. In May 2015, the season was finally extended to ten episodes.
Even before the season finale was broadcast, TBS announced the extension of a second season on July 6, 2016.
On September 13, 2017, the series was extended for a third season.

Trivia
- The series revolves around a small group of survivors. In the individual episodes, characters appear who do not appear again either before or after.
- As a running gag , the character Corey only appears very sporadically. Although he knows a lot about the other characters, nobody knows him. Then there are mostly flashbacks that show Corey in the storylines of the previous episodes.
- The first season was filmed near the former Roosevelt Roads naval base in Puerto Rico .
- The second season could no longer be shot in Puerto Rico due to the Zika virus and was therefore shot in Fiji .
- The ship of the Red Hot Chili Peppers Tribute Band Cruise that was hijacked by the pirates is actually the cruise ship MV Reef Endeavor of the Australian shipping company Captain Cook Cruises .
