Lisa Olivia Munn (born July 3, 1980 in Oklahoma City , Oklahoma ) is an American television presenter , actress and model . From 2006 to 2010 she hosted several TV shows on the G4 channel , including Attack of the Show! . From 2010 to 2011 she was a correspondent for The Daily Show .

Life

Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City. She is of Chinese descent on her mother's side and of German - Irish descent on her father's side. When she was two years old, her mother married a US Air Force soldier . The family moved many times to and so it was that Munn mainly in the Japanese Tokyo grew up. There she was seen in several theater performances and got her first jobs as a model .

She studied journalism at the University of Oklahoma with a minor in Japanology and acting .

Until early 2017, she was in a relationship with football player Aaron Rodgers , quarterback for the NFL team Green Bay Packers . The couple lived in Green Bay , Wisconsin, United States .

Career

In 2004, Munn moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career and was hired by Fox Sports as a commentator on college football and women's basketball . She received a role in the film Scarecrow Gone Wild and appeared in the music video for Hello Tomorrow by Zebrahead on. In 2005 she played a supporting role in the television series Beyond the Break for two seasons and learned to surf for it . In 2006 Munn switched to G4 and hosted the TV show Attack of the Show with Kevin Pereira ! .

Her film debut she had in 2007 in the movie Big Stan by Rob Schneider . She had another significant role in the horror film Insanitarium in 2008 and in Date Night in 2010 and Iron Man 2 . On July 6, 2010, Munn published her first book Suck It, Wonder Woman! The Misadventures of a Hollywood Geek .

From June 2010 to 2011 she was a correspondent for The Daily Show on Comedy Central . On December 6, 2010, she left Attack of the Show! and was replaced there by Candace Bailey .

In 2018 she was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.

Commitment to animal welfare

In addition to her career, Olivia Munn is actively involved in animal welfare . In 2011 she was seen in a campaign by the animal welfare organization PETA against keeping circus animals . In 2012 she appeared again in a PETA campaign against animal cruelty in Chinese fur farms.
