Jeff Groth

Jeff Groth (* 20th century ) is an American film editor .

Life

Groth began his career as an assistant editor in the mid-1990s. He has been working as an independent editor since 1999. His work in the field of film editing includes 30 cinema and television productions. Starting with Hangover 3 from 2013, he works regularly with director Todd Phillips . Previously, Groth had worked on the editing of Project X , in which Phillips was involved as a producer. The previous artistic and commercial highlight of their joint work is Joker from 2019.

For his work on Joker , Groth was nominated for the Satellite Award in 2019 and for the Oscar in the Best Editing category in 2020 . He also received a nomination for the British Academy Film Award and his second nomination for the Eddie of the American Cinema Editors .
