Scott Stuber
Scott Stuber (* around 1969 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film producer .
Career
Stuber began his career in marketing for Universal Pictures and later spent four years with Lauren Shuler Donner's production company. In the mid-1990s he was active in two small roles as an actor. In 1997 he worked as an associate producer on the disaster film Volcano . In August of that year he moved again to Universal, where he became Senior Vice President of Production. In February 2000 he was promoted to Executive Vice President of Production and together with Mary Parent took over the production management of the studio.
At the end of 2005, Stuber and Parent founded the film production company Stuber / Parent Productions . Since then he has worked as an independent film producer, with a focus on comedies and action films. In 2008, the existing first-look deal between Stuber Pictures and Universal was extended to 2013. In 2012 he renamed his company Bluegrass Films . A year later, producer Dylan Clark joined Bluegrass Films .
In March 2017 it was announced that Stuber will switch to the streaming service Netflix , where he will be responsible for the development, production and acquisition of feature films.
Private life
Stuber was first married to actress Rachel Nichols from 2008 to 2009 . He has been married to Molly Sims since September 2011 . The marriage resulted in two sons and a daughter.
