Mary Parent

Mary Parent (* 1968 ) is an American film producer and production manager . She is through her work u. a. to Pacific Rim and The Revenant and was nominated for several film awards, including an Oscar in 2016 .

Life

Mary Parent grew up in Santa Barbara and then studied business administration in Los Angeles at the University of Southern California . After graduating, she worked for ICM Partners and moved to New Line Cinema in 1994 . In 2000 she moved to Universal Pictures , where she was President of Production with Scott Stuber ; In 2003 she became Vice President of Production and later Chairman of Worldwide Production . At the end of 2005 she founded the company Stuber / Parent Productions with Stuber . Between 2008 and 2010 she worked for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer .

Parent has been the successor to Jon Jashni Vice Chairman of Worldwide Production at Legendary Pictures since March 2016 .
