Jon Jashni is an American film producer .

Life

Jashni studied from 1983 to 1984 at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and from 1986 to 1987 at the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles .

From the mid-1980s he was involved in the making of various feature films at Daniel Melnick's The IndieProd Company as a production associate. From 1989 to 1991 he worked as Creative Executive at Columbia Pictures in the production of films such as Bram Stoker's Dracula or And daily greets the groundhog . This was followed by positions at film production company Giant Pictures, which works for Warner Bros. , and at 20th Century Fox . In 1999 he became a partner at Alchemy Entertainment . From 2002 to 2005 he was President of Hyde Park Entertainment .

In 2006 he started working for Thomas Tull's production company Legendary Pictures , where he produced films such as Pacific Rim , Godzilla , Katakomben , Blackhat , Crimson Peak , Krampus and Warcraft: The Beginning over the next few years . In late February 2016, Jashni resigned as President and Chief Creative Officer of Legendary Pictures.

He then founded the Investmend Fund Raintree Ventures , with which he wants to finance various projects in the entertainment industry.

Jashni is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Producers Guild of America . He is also a trustee of the American Film Institute .
