Robert "Rob" William Corddry (born February 4, 1971 in Weymouth , Norfolk County, Massachusetts ) is an American actor .

Life

Rob Corddry graduated from the University of Massachusetts . He made his debut in an episode of the television series The Nanny from 1995. From 2001 to 2006 he worked as a correspondent for the comedy show The Daily Show . He co-wrote the script for the television comedy I'm a Correspondent, Please Don't Fire Me (2003), in which he appeared alongside fellow Daily Show colleague Steve Carell . He left the Daily Show in August 2006 and starred in the sitcom The Winner , which was discontinued after six episodes. Since 2008 he has played the lead role in the sitcom Children's Hospital .

He played one of the leading roles in the comedy Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story (2004). In the comedy Love Vegas (2008) with Cameron Diaz , he played the role of Jeffery Lewis , a lawyer friend of Jack Fuller ( Ashton Kutcher ) . In March 2012 he got the lead role in Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant's directorial debut Hell Baby alongside Leslie Bibb .

Corddry has been married since 2002 and has a daughter born in 2006. His brother Nathan "Nate" Corddry is also an actor.
