Ballers is an American comedy - television series with Dwayne Johnson in the lead role. The premiere of the first season was broadcast on June 21, 2015 on HBO . On July 10, 2015, the station announced the order for a second season, which will be broadcast from July 17, 2016. On August 8, 2017, the series was extended for a fourth season. The continuation of the series in a final, fifth season became known on September 6, 2018.
