Robert Ben Garant (born September 14, 1970 in Cookeville , Tennessee ) is an American actor , screenwriter and television producer .

Life

Garant first appeared in various bars with the New York comedy group The State in the early 1990s . MTV aired three seasons of this program, after which CBS aired a 44-minute special. Garant later became the inventor, writer, producer and performer of the series Viva Variety , which ran for three seasons on Comedy Central .

After moving to Los Angeles , Garant and his partner Thomas Lennon scripted for Disney , Spyglass Entertainment , Imagine, 20th Century Fox , Warner Brothers , Columbia Pictures , New Line , Dimension and Universal Pictures .

Robert Ben Garant worked as a screenwriter, actor ( Travis Junior ) and executive producer for the television series Reno 911! . He lives with his wife Jennifer in Glendale, California . In 2007 he took over the direction of the comedy film Balls of Fury .
