action

Against the advice of his best friend Ted, Anderson publicly proposes to his girlfriend in a cupid costume , whereupon she gets a heart attack and dies. A year later, Ted encouraged Anderson to throw himself back into the single life. But Anderson is still in grief and not interested in meeting the opposite sex, but Ted reluctantly has to agree to appease him. Anderson then asks the waitress Katie if she will marry him. He is completely surprised when she says yes in order to avoid an emotionless life with her boyfriend.

Ted, Anderson, Katie and the rest of the wedding party “borrow” a car from the dealership Ted works for under the pretext of a test drive to get to the wedding location. But they are arrested because they practically stole the car. Katie's father escapes from prison to attend the wedding with Katie's mother. Katie's mother has also gone out and stole more appealing clothes from a clothing store. The two are then arrested by the police and locked in the same cell as the wedding party. They all escape by taking the gun off a guard. Anderson and Katie get married, but they are all arrested again. After bribing the judge with a blender, everyone is free again.

Reviews

"[...] the tortured gags with which" American Pie "idol Jason Biggs vies for the audience's favor would be a real reason for divorce."

"Pale romantic comedy, which mainly suffers from the fact that the actually quite good actors cannot develop contours due to the poorly developed script, in contrast to some more pointedly designed supporting roles."

“Even if Biggs and the enchanting Fisher in the lead roles try hesitantly and stumblingly to get to know each other, the film is gaining in charm. But only to come back to too little original staged and far too obvious jokes in the next scene. "
