action

The bachelor Tripp is 35 years old, a boat broker and still lives with his parents Sue and Al. He is not interested in long-term relationships with women. The womanizer sees the last resort to quickly get rid of girlfriends in inviting them to his home. After that at the latest, the women don't want to have anything to do with the nestling. His best friends confirm his lifestyle because they still live with their parents.

His parents have long since got fed up with their subtenant, they want to live their own life and therefore hire the attractive Paula to get Tripp to move out of the parental home. Paula is a professional "undressing aid": she plays the love of men in order to get them to move and then leaves them. She is paid for by Tripp's parents for this service.

Tripp teaches Paula to sail and at first she feigns real love. Paula then actually falls in love with her client and sleeps with him. That creates some problems. At the same time, Tripp's boyfriend Ace blackmailed Paula and asked her to persuade her attractive roommate, Kit, to go out with him. Reluctantly, Kit agrees, and the two become a couple. Since Tripp learns through his friend Demo that Paula has been hired by his parents, he separates from her in an argument and moves out of home. Paula is dejected and wants to leave town. She wants to move back to Colorado because she is still in love with Tripp, but he doesn't want anything to do with her anymore. Paula's friend and Tripp's buddies help her to change her decision and the two of them find each other again. At the end you see the couple Tripp and Paula in love on a boat.
