Bradley Cooper
Bradley Charles Cooper (born January 5, 1975 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor , director , screenwriter and singer . Cooper became known for his role in the film Hangover , which was followed by two sequels due to its success. From 2013 to 2015, he was nominated for best leading or supporting actor at the Oscars for three years in a row.
His directorial debut, A Star Is Born , for which he also worked as a screenwriter, producer and actor, was nominated for five Golden Globes in 2019 , of which the film won one. At the 2019 Academy Awards , A Star Is Born was nominated in eight categories, including Best Picture , Best Actor, and Best Adapted Screenplay .
Life
Cooper first attended Villanova University , after a year he moved to Georgetown University in Washington, DC In 1997, he completed his studies with a bachelor's degree in English . He then moved to New York , where he studied acting at the Actors Studio Drama School . In 1998 he made his acting debut in a guest role on the television series Sex and the City . In 2001 he got the role of Will Tippin in the series Alias - The Agent , which he played in 46 episodes until 2006. In 2005 he starred in Anthony Bourdain's book Confessions of a Chef. What you never wanted to know about restaurants based sitcom Kitchen Confidential . However, this was discontinued after 13 episodes due to poor audience ratings. In 2006 he starred alongside Julia Roberts in her Broadway theater debut in the play Three Days of Rain .
In 2008 he played his first leading role in Ryūhei Kitamura's horror film The Midnight Meat Train , followed by another in the comedy film Hangover the following year . The comedy became a huge commercial hit and the cast won the Detroit Film Critics Society Award . Cooper also received a nomination for the Satellite Award and later stated in an interview that this film was a breakthrough for him and that he had been offered several new roles afterwards. Cooper also starred in the sequels Hangover 2 and Hangover 3 . The three films grossed over $ 1 billion at approximately $ 215 million in production. In 2010 he played the role of Templeton "Faceman" Peck in the film adaptation of the television series Das A-Team , which was originally played by Dirk Benedict . He also starred alongside Jim Carrey in Yes Man , Sandra Bullock in Crazy About Steve, and Jessica Alba in Valentine's Day .
In 2011 he not only took on the lead role in the thriller Without Limit , but also acted as executive producer for the first time. In the television series of the same name, Limitless , he also played the role of Eddie Morra, where he was also an executive producer.
In 2011, People Magazine named Cooper the Sexiest Man Alive . In 2012, Cooper starred in the feature film Silver Linings , based on the Matthew Quick novel of the same name . Not only was the film a huge commercial success (grossing around $ 236 million at a production cost of $ 21 million), it was also an artistic one: Cooper was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor and received other nominations and awards from prestigious film awards. In 2014 , he was nominated again for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for American Hustle . He received his third consecutive nomination in 2015 for leading actor in the war drama American Sniper , for which he also served as a producer.
In 2018 Cooper made his directorial debut with A Star Is Born , at the same time he also took on the male lead here and made his first appearance as a screenwriter.

Private
Cooper was married to actress Jennifer Esposito from December 2006 to May 2007 . From autumn 2009 he was in a relationship with the actress Renée Zellweger , in March 2011 both announced their separation. From March 2013 to March 2015, he was in a relationship with British model Suki Waterhouse . Since then he has been with the Russian model Irina Shayk , with whom he has a child. The couple separated in 2019.
