Jennifer Esposito
Jennifer Esposito (born April 11, 1973 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American actress .
life and career
Esposito is the daughter of an interior designer and data processing consultant on Wall Street and a former music producer . She grew up in her Italian family with an older sister in Staten Island New York, where she also attended Catholic High School. She dreamed of an acting career and attended the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York City.
Esposito was initially offered a few small roles in television and cinema, but waited for a larger role and worked as a waitress for so long. The wait paid off as she landed a role on the television soap opera The City in 1995 . With this role she caught the attention of the casting agency for the series Chaos City , which still had to cast the role of the friend of Michael J. Fox 's character. But over time, she found her role unsatisfactory and left the series in 1999. Since then, she has played several major roles in well-known films. Spike Lee cast her for a role in Summer of Sam . In 2004 she appeared in front of the camera with a number of well-known actors for the Oscar- winning episode drama LA Crash . Other films include Don't Say a Word with Michael Douglas and New York Taxi . From 2007 to 2009 she starred as Andrea Belladonna alongside Christina Applegate in the US sitcom Samantha Who? to see. From 2010 to 2012 she starred with Tom Selleck in the crime series Blue Bloods - Crime Scene New York . In season 14, she takes on the lead role of Special Agent Alexandra "Alex" Quinn in Navy CIS , although she leaves the team again after the end of the season.
Private
Esposito was married to fellow actor Bradley Cooper from December 2006 to May 2007 , and his marriage to Louis Dowler (November 16, 2014 - 2016) failed. On The Late Show with David Letterman in October 2011, Esposito announced that she had had celiac disease since 2009 .
