Conspiracy - The conspiracy (Original title: Conspiracy ) is an American action thriller from 2008 . Directed by Adam Marcus, who also wrote the script with Debra Sullivan.

action

The US Navy William "Spooky" MacPherson used in the Iraq war and is wounded. After his release, he plans to visit a friend and former comrade who lives in Arizona . However, he realizes that this is missing. City residents deny he ever lived in the area. MacPherson, with the help of local Joanna, investigates on his own initiative and uncovers a conspiracy involving the leader of the local Rhodes community. The ex-soldier starts a private war against Rhodes and corrupt police officers.

Reviews

Brian Orndorf wrote on www.dvdtalk.com that Val Kilmer would play a role in this film, who usually played Steven Seagal ( "Val Kilmer is now officially Steven Seagal" ). Conspiracy is a classic low-budget film in which the quality of the script is irrelevant.

Richard Roeper wrote on Ebert & Roeper that the film was worse than terrible - it was bad to yawn.

The film magazine Cinema wrote: Another remake that nobody needs. Based on John Sturges ' " City in Fear ", Val Kilmer clears a village of gangsters in this hollow actioner. It's a shame about Mr. Kilmer, who recently successfully returned from oblivion with the thriller " Spartan ".

On February 15, 2008 the film was released in selected cinemas in the USA. In most countries - including the Netherlands , Italy and Germany - it was released directly on DVD.
