Christina Applegate
Christina Applegate (born November 25, 1971 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress and film producer . She is, among other things, an Emmy Award winner and gained great fame through the role of Kelly Bundy in the television series A Terribly Nice Family .
life and career
Christina Applegate is the daughter of singer and actress Nancy Priddy and record producer and manager Robert Applegate. At the age of three months she appeared with her mother in a commercial on US television. In 1986 she starred in the television series Detective Kennedy - LA Night Shift for a year . She was best known for her role as Kelly Bundy in the television series A Terrible Nice Family (1987-1997) and as Jesse Warner in the television series Jesse (1998-2000).
In 1995 she founded the dance and music ensemble Pussycat Dolls with Robin Antin , but was not involved in its later successes. In 2005 she played the lead role in the Broadway musical Sweet Charity , for which she was nominated for a Tony Award . From 2007 to 2009 she played the lead role in the comedy series Samantha Who? of the US television network ABC . The part of a lost memory real estate entrepreneur earned her two Emmy , Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.
In 2011 and 2012, Applegate was one of the main cast of the television series Up All Night , in which she plays a young mother trying to get a job and family under one roof.
Since 2019, she has played the lead role in the Netflix series Dead to Me, Jen Harding.
Voice actress
Applegate's regular German spokeswoman has been Claudia Lössl , a terribly nice family , who spoke Applegate eleven times so far (2017). As an alternative, Bianca Krahl has spoken to Applegate six times .
Private life
Applegate is a vegetarian and is involved in the animal rights organization PETA . In 2008 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, which was still in its very early stages. Applegate decided to have a bilateral prophylactic mastectomy in view of a genetically determined increased risk of breast cancer . In August 2008, she announced that she was completely cured from cancer. In 2009 she was voted # 1 on People Magazine's list of 100 Most Beautiful People .
Applegate was married to Johnathon Schaech from October 2001 to August 2007 . On February 23, 2013, she married the musician Martyn LeNoble in Los Angeles . Their daughter was born in January 2011.
