action

Amy Mitchell is 32, a mother of two, married and has had a successful career. However, she is under a lot of pressure to do everything perfectly and is completely overworked. When she finds out that her husband is cheating on her virtually on the Internet, Amy becomes all too much and she wants to free herself from the constraints of family life. She finds two allies in her two mothers, Kiki and Carla. Together they decide to be “bad moms” and to leave all responsibilities behind in order to have fun themselves. First of all, they celebrate their new freedom extensively and without a guilty conscience in a bar. Because Kiki still has to go to the supermarket, the other two come along and stir up the market. They do everything that shouldn't be done there. The next morning, Amy doesn't make breakfast for the children and tells them that they can do it on their own. She drives them to school in her husband's favorite car, which is actually taboo . She doesn't go to the office, but prefers to meet with Kiki and Carla. The next day she takes a break with her daughter Jane. Instead of going to school, she takes her to a wellness hotel and enjoys the day with her. In the evening, she and Kiki and Carla decide to have fun with men. Despite her best efforts, Amy does not manage to go to bed with any of the candidates. She happens to meet Jessie Harkness in the bar, a handsome young widower who is adored by all mothers when he takes his daughter to school. She spends the rest of the evening with him and feels very good about it.

The next day, Amy learns at school that her daughter, although the best striker, is not going to be fielded for an upcoming school soccer match because the parents' council chairman Gwendolyn James doesn't like it. Without further ado, Amy decides to compete against Gwendolyn in the next election and gives a boisterous party for everyone who should vote her. She promises the women that she will work to ensure that less is done in school and that their children should find time to be children again instead of taking all possible courses. At the end of the party, Jessie suddenly arrives and they spend the night together. She realizes that this is the end of her marriage to Mike. One last chance to hold on to it seems to be couples therapy, but the attempt fails. Amy and Mike split up. Since there are other problems with the children at school, they blame their mother and unceremoniously move in to their father's hotel. Amy is very depressed about this and now no longer wants to run for the election of the parent council chairperson. However, Kiki and Carla manage to revive Amy's fighting spirit. Amy rushes through town with her friends to school and arrives just in time to give her candidate speech. But she didn't prepare it at all, so she simply talks about her worries and needs as a mother. And with that she speaks to everyone present from the heart and everyone now comes out that they have failed here and there as a mother and that they are not always perfect. Amy wins the election with a large majority and thanks Kiki and Carla. She discovers her competitor Gwendolyn sitting in her car and crying bitterly. Amy speaks to her sensitively and learns from her what problems she is currently facing.

The next day, Amy apologizes to her children for their strange behavior over the past few days. In doing so, she realizes that this has made both of her much more independent. When she takes the children to school, she meets Jessie, whom she unabashedly confesses her love to. Undecided what to do that day, Amy, Carla and Kiki are invited by Gwendolyn for a day of fun - with their husband's private jet.
