Leslie Mann (born March 26, 1972 in San Francisco , California ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Mann appeared in commercials as a teenager. She made her debut in a minor supporting role in the 1991 comedy Virgin High . In the comedy Cable Guy she played one of the bigger roles alongside Jim Carrey and Matthew Broderick . To get this, she prevailed against 500 competitors.

In the comedy George - The Came from the Jungle, man embodied the role of a woman from the upper class who falls in love with the outdoorsman George ( Brendan Fraser ) and marries him. In the comedy First Time , she played the role of Debbie , a sister of the unwittingly pregnant Alison Scott ( Katherine Heigl ). In 2012 she played Debbie again in Always Trouble at 40 , this time as the main role.

In 2017 she was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year.

In 1997 Mann married the film producer , screenwriter and director Judd Apatow , whom she met while filming the film Cable Guy . She has two daughters with him, Maude and Iris Apatow .
