Matthew Broderick
Matthew Broderick (born March 21, 1962 in New York City , New York ) is an American actor and director . He was best known in the 1980s for his leading roles in WarGames (1983) and as Ferris Bueller in Ferris makes blue (1986).
Life
Youth and career
The son of actor James Broderick celebrated 1983 in WarGames by John Badham his feature film debut as an actor. This hit as well as the teen - comedy Ferris Bueller's made him a member of the Brat Pack to a successful star in his age group. He established himself as a serious actor with films such as the civil war drama Glory or the crime comedy Family Business (both 1989). Personal
On August 5, 1987, Broderick caused a serious car accident in Northern Ireland, in which a 63-year-old woman and her 28-year-old daughter were killed. Broderick was also seriously injured, his co-driver Jennifer Gray suffered only minor injuries. Broderick was fined $ 175.
He has been married to actress Sarah Jessica Parker since May 1997 . He lives in New York with her, their son and their twin daughters .
