action

Alice temporarily leaves her boyfriend Josh for a break and moves to New York City to work as a legal assistant. She moves in with her sister Meg, who works as a gynecologist and steadfastly refuses to have children or any form of relationship. Alice makes friends with employee Robin, who is not averse to parties and one-night stands, as well as the bartender Tom, who lives his single life and hooks up with various women - including Alice. He meets Lucy in his bar, who is currently using the bar's free Wi-Fi and explains to him that she is currently looking for the "right one" through various dating sites.

Alice tells Josh that their break from relationship is over, which Josh harshly rejects. Meanwhile, Meg changes her mind about her own offspring and decides to father a child with the help of a sperm donor. She starts flirting with a younger man, Ken, shortly after learning about successful in vitro fertilization. However, she hides this fact from Ken.

Lucy meanwhile has a streak of bad luck on dates, which Tom does not go undetected and he realizes that he has feelings for Lucy. When her sister tries to fuel their own relationship, Alice continues to languish at Josh. In an attempt to get into the dating market, she attends a Wesley alumni meeting, where she meets David, with whom it sparks immediately. Lucy later accompanies Paul to Grand Central Station . They had been a couple for three weeks and Paul reveals to her that in the meantime he had not only met her, since he assumed they were not yet together and were separating from her. Lucy, extremely upset, collapses while volunteering in a bookstore while reading to children. George, who works in the bookstore, comforts her and shortly afterwards they start a relationship.
