Clark Duke (born May 5, 1985 in Glenwood , Arkansas ) is an American actor . He is known for his roles in films like Kick-Ass , Joyride and Hot Tub - The Whirlpool ... is a bloody time machine! and for his portrayal of Dale Kettlewell in the TV series Greek .

Career

Duke was born in Glenwood, Arkansas and raised a Baptist . Together with his close confidante Michael Cera , Duke was responsible for the web series Clark and Michael , in which he wrote, directed and produced the script, directed and played a fictional version of himself. The pilot episode was designed as a student assignment at Loyola Marymount University . On the TV series Greek , Duke starred for Rusty's strictly religious roommate, Dale Kettlewell. For the film Superbad Duke originally auditioned for the character of Fogell ("McLovin"), but was turned down and instead cast for a mini-role. In 1992 Duke was nominated for a Young Artist Award for "Outstanding Actor Under 10 Years in a Television Series" for his portrayal in Kiss Me, John ( Hearts Afire ). In February 2008, Duke starred in the short film Drunk History, Volume 2 with Jack Black .

Duke received his first role in a large-scale production in 2008 in the film Joyride . This was followed by a major supporting role in Kick-Ass with Nicolas Cage and directed by Matthew Vaughn . In the film Hot Tub, released in the spring of 2010, ... is a bloody time machine! played Duke Jacob, the nephew of John Cusack's character Adam. He also took on the same role in its sequel Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (2015). In 2012 the film A Thousand Words was released, in which Duke plays alongside Eddie Murphy .

Duke is also active as a director. In 2007 he directed the series Clark and Michael , and in 2015, 2017 and 2018 he made a short film each. His feature film debut Arkansas is slated for May 2020.

In 2010 he worked with Kid Cudi and Kanye West as bass player in the music video Erase me .
