John Cusack
John Paul Cusack (born June 28, 1966 in Evanston , Illinois ) is an American actor , film producer and screenwriter . His father Richard "Dick" Cusack was also an actor, as were his siblings Ann , Bill , Joan and Susie .
life and career
John Cusack began acting as a child and attended the Piven Theater Workshop in Chicago in elementary school , which was founded by the parents of his friend Jeremy Piven . At the age of 12 he was already on stage in theater productions, made voice-overs for commercials and appeared in commercial spots. In 1983, Cusack first appeared in front of the camera in a major Hollywood production, for the film Class , with Rob Lowe and Andrew McCarthy , among others . He was then seen regularly in films, most of which were tailored to a younger audience. With the successes Der Volltreffer (1985) and Teen Lover (1989), Cusack finally became a teenage star.
In addition to the cinema productions, Cusack was involved in other projects. He has both produced and directed various shows for the Chicago theater group "The New Criminals", which he founded in 1988. He also owns a production company called "New Crime Productions", which produced the crime comedy Ein Mann - ein Mord , among other things .
With this film at the latest, Cusack's career experienced a turning point, and a little later he gained popularity on European soil through his appearance in the action film Con Air alongside Nicolas Cage, with whom he later appeared in front of the camera several times . This was followed by the Peter Chelsom comedy Because There You Are at the side of Kate Beckinsale and City Hall , a political drama with Al Pacino . In 2003 Cusack was in front of the camera for the thriller Identity . In 1999 he had an outstanding performance in Being John Malkovich and in 2000 in High Fidelity . In the John Grisham film The Judgment , he starred alongside Rachel Weisz , Dustin Hoffman and Gene Hackman . In 2007 he was seen in Mikael Håfström's successful horror thriller Zimmer 1408 based on a short story by Stephen King . In 2009, Cusack got a leading role in the disaster film 2012 . Here he met his colleague Amanda Peet from identity .
Cusack now often appears as a youthful or aging anti-hero and has meanwhile played a wide repertoire of different characters. He often works in films with his relatives (especially Joan Cusack, with whom he has appeared in eight films so far), as well as with his "sandpit" friend Piven. He has already acted in six films with his good friend Tim Robbins . He himself claims to have been satisfied with his previous projects. However, he has not yet been able to play the ultimate role. Cusack presented his film The Raven at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) at the McCormick Place Convention Center on April 15, 2012 . Since then, films that were produced directly for the video market have increasingly followed, including some action productions. His work includes more than 80 productions.
Cusack had relationships with Minnie Driver , Alison Eastwood , Claire Forlani, and Neve Campbell .
His German dubbing voice is mostly Andreas Fröhlich .
Cusack appeared in the 2013 surveillance and espionage affair in the video "Stop Watching US". He is also a regular contributor to the Huffington Post .
