Peter Chelsom
Peter Chelsom (born April 20, 1956 in Blackpool , Lancashire , England ) is a British film director and screenwriter . In the 1980s he also worked as an actor.
Live and act
Before starting his career in the film business, Peter Chelsom trained as a photographer. He then studied for three years at the Central School of Drama in London and then worked as an actor for television and theater. In 1992 he made his debut as a film director with the film Hear My Song . Ned Beatty took the lead role. Chelsom received a British Academy Film Award nomination for his screenplay . Three years later he directed the Funny Bones and was nominated again for the BAFTA Award. He was also named Best Producer at the London Critics' Circle Film Awards .
Peter Chelsom also shot over 60 commercials and has lived in Los Angeles since 1995 .
