action

Miley Stewart is overwhelmed with her alter ego Hannah Montana . After the concert and the filming of the music video for the song “The Best of Both Worlds 2009 Movie Mix” , Oswald, a journalist for a magazine, records a conversation between Hannah and her press agent Vita with a camera and learns that Hannah has a secret.

However, Miley gets into trouble when she fights with Tyra Banks over a pair of shoes that Miley wanted to give her best friend Lilly for her birthday. When Oswald secretly follows her, she is forced to come to Lilly's birthday as Hannah Montana and attracts attention instead of Lilly. Oliver and Rico try to stop Lilly from leaving her birthday party, but the situation comes to a head when Rico explodes a birthday cake.

Hannah and Tyra's fight makes the cover of a magazine, and Miley's father, Robby, is furious. Miley believes they will fly to the World Music Awards in New York City in a private jet that same day . However, contrary to expectations, the plane lands in Crowley Corners, Tennessee , Miley's hometown. It soon turns out that Robby wanted to fly to Crowley Corners because of the birthday of Ruby, Miley's grandmother. He also wanted to show Miley what life she could have had if they hadn't moved away. When Miley asks if she can ever be Hannah Montana again, Robby replies that she should ask him again in two weeks.

In Tennessee, Robby finds a new love, Lorelei. Miley falls in love with her former boyfriend, Travis Brody .

Miley spends time with her best friend Lilly, who comes along with Hannah's band and crew. When Hannah encourages Travis to ask Miley out, Miley says yes, but she also agreed to dinner with the Mayor as Hannah at the same time. Miley walks to Travis and back the whole time between lunch with the mayor. When Miley walks out of the mayor's dinner house holding her wig, Travis sees her doing it and refuses. Miley is devastated. Robby then has to end the relationship with Lorelei to take care of Miley.

At a Hannah Montana concert in town, Hannah stops in the middle of the song when she sees Travis. She feels guilty and pulls down her wig. She says she could never be Hannah Montana again, but a little girl replies that everyone present will not tell anyone her secret. The whole audience calls out "Hannah". When she puts her wig back on, Oswald takes a photo with the camera on his cell phone and runs away. But Miley / Hannah and Robby persuade him not to send the photo to the publisher for the sake of his daughters, and Oswald is persuaded and quits his job. In the end, she kisses Travis. Robby and Lorelei renew their relationship.

Reviews

“Cinema offshoot of the popular Disney series, which plays a self-reflective game with appearance and reality. The film is aimed at (teenage-female) fans, but has little more to offer for everyone else than a technically skilled, unsurprising, smooth star vehicle. "

“The drama of this story is limited - but so is the sugar shock thanks to Miley Cyrus. Conclusion: The simple story of the music film ultimately only celebrates life in the US province. But the main actress's charm whitewashes everything. "

"Tailored to the target group of girls, the film presents idyllic horses with wide camera angles and slow-motion rides with the chivalrous Travis and is true to the conservative Disney style."

"Comedy tailored entirely to young girls, which music-loving parents could also have fun with - provided they are allowed to accompany their children to the cinema!"
