Melora Hardin
Melora Hardin (* 29. June 1967 in Houston , Texas as Melora Diane Hardin ) is an American actress .
Life and accomplishments
Melora Hardin is the daughter of actor Jerry Hardin . She made her debut in the late 1970s on the television series Thunder and The Cliffwood Avenue Kids . For the role in the television series The Family Tree from 1983, she was nominated in 1984 for the Young Artist Award . For the role in the series Two Marriages (1983) she won the Young Artist Award in 1985. She was nominated for the Young Artist Award in 1987 for the role in the drama Papa Was a Preacher . In 1988, she played in the movie Dirty Dancing -inspired eponymous television series , the role of Baby Houseman alongside Patrick Cassidy .
In the comedy Soul Man , Hardin played the role of the student Whitney Dunbar , who tries to seduce her colleague Mark Watson ( C. Thomas Howell ). She took on one of the leading roles in the comedy Robin Hood Junior . In the thriller Absolute Power she played the role of Christy Sullivan , whom the US President Allen Richmond ( Gene Hackman ) tries to rape and who is then shot by his security agents. In the horror comedy Im Jenseits are still rooms free , she appeared next to Steve Guttenberg and Kirsten Dunst .
From 2004 to 2009 she played a small supporting role in the television series Monk , where she played the role of Trudy, Monk's late wife. From 2005 to 2013 she played the role of Jan Levinson in the television series The Office .
Hardin has been married to actor Gildart Jackson since 1997 and has two children.
