The Office: The Accountants is an American web series and a spin-off from Das Büro . It shows the accountant in the department in Scranton , Pennsylvania of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, as they try to Budget missing three thousand dollars recover. The webisodes could be viewed from the USA on the official website of the station NBC and were later available as an extra on the DVD of the second season.

The web series was announced in March 2006 and was produced within two days in Van Nuys , Los Angeles by the same crew as the television series. It won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2007 for Outstanding Broadband Program - Comedy .

Production and publication

During the broadcast of The Office's second season in March 2006, NBC announced its intention to produce ten web episodes. The filming of the ten web episodes lasted only two days and took place in Van Nuys, a district of Los Angeles. The web series won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Broadband Program - Comedy at the 34th Daytime Emmy Awards in 2007 . Entertainment Weekly's Tim Stack rated the series "A-", writing, "While we miss Jim and Pam (not to mention Steve Carell ), these short episodes prove that spending time with their extremely cumbersome staff can be just as sweet" .
