Yomeiro-Choice ( Japanese ヨ メ イ ロ ち ょ い す , Yomeiro Choisu , German "bridal color choice") is a manga by Tenkla .

action

15-year-old Saku Sakuraga has difficulties dealing with girls and rejects any advances, which is partly due to his nagging sandpit friend Karin. One day Saku learns that his cousin Kuran will live with him.

As the story progresses, four girls from the future appear in Saku's presence. The first is Kiiro, who introduces herself as the daughter of Saku and Karin and tells him that, much to his and Karin's disbelief, he is a crush. She is convinced that she will disappear from reality if Saku and Karin do not marry and father them. The second girl is Hiiro, Saku's future daughter from a relationship with Kuran. The third daughter is Moegi, who will emerge from Saku's relationship with Mebuki Kozue, his class representative. Hiiro and Moegi have the same concerns as Kiiro: They fear for their respective future existence and are therefore trying to promote their conception through Saku with their respective mothers and to boycott Saku's relationship with the other mothers. Any means are fine with them, including fantastic ones that will only exist in the future.

Later, a fourth daughter, Cerulea, appears who initially wants to castrate Saku so that she will never be born. The reason for this is that Saku ruined the respected family of her German mother Rosemarie, which caused her and her mother great suffering, and she therefore wishes she had never been born. However, Cerulea abandons her plan, impressed by Saku's friendliness. Rosemarie wants to father a child with Saku, because he is missing in the Akashic Record and because of a child with her, who comes from an important family, his existence will inevitably appear in the record. In the present, she initially ignores her future daughter, but then becomes infatuated with her.

Towards the end of the story, another character, Rausu, appears from another future in which Saku couldn't choose a woman. In this future he has turned away from humanity and turned to robotics, with the AI (artificial intelligence) he developed destroying humanity. Rausu eventually forces Saku to make a decision. He comes to the conclusion that he loves all of his potential brides so that the future of all daughters is assured.

Characters

Saku Sakuraga ( 桜 我 咲 久 , Sakuraga Saku )
Speaker: Asami Sanada
Saku is the 15-year-old protagonist of the story whose most distinctive trait is to run away from all problems.
Karin ( 花 凛 )
Speaker: Eri Kitamura
Karin is Saku's 15-year-old sandpit friend. She takes care of Saku and is concerned about him, but she is prone to violence when Saku makes inappropriate remarks. She is forced by her mother to move into an apartment next to Saku's, where she lives with her future daughter Kiiro.
Kiiro ( き ぃ ろ , German "yellow")
Speaker: Tae Okajima
Kiiro is Sakus and Karin's future daughter, her parents name her Papan ( パ パ ン ) and Maman ( マ マ ン ). To force a result, she often uses tools from the future, the application of which often goes wrong. In their future, Saku and Karin are rich people. She loves curry dishes and, according to her name, wears a yellow suit and hat.
Mirin ( 美 凛 )
Mirin is Karin's mother and tries on the one hand to bring Saku and Karin together, but on the other hand also to seduce Saku himself.
Kuran ( 紅 蘭 )
Speaker: Kaori Shimizu
Kuran is Saku's cousin of the same age. She is introverted, very good-natured, a bit naive, loves Saku unconditionally, would do anything for him and wanted to be Saku's bride from the start, before the daughters appeared. Her affection is expressed, for example, in the fact that when a remedy from the future is used by Kiiro, a spray with which each bride should create her own Saku through cell division, a moronic copy of him is created, but she is the only one who loves it . She is tall, has large breasts and is generally described as having a more maternal character. In addition, she lives with Saku and Hiiro in an apartment, where she constantly pampers him, ie cooks for him, washes for him, warms up his food and even levels up his video game characters.
Hiiro ( ヒ ィ ロ , Eng. "Fire red")
Speaker: Asami Imai
Hiiro is Sakus and Kuran's future daughter. She is very different in character and appearance from Kuran, rarely shows feelings and is rather distant. This is also expressed in her salutations, so she calls Saku “father person” ( 父 の 人 , chichi no hito ), Kuran “mother person” ( 母 の 人 , haha no hito ), Kiiro “yellow person” ( 黄色 い 人 , kiiroi hito ), Moegi “green person” ( 緑 の 人 , midori no hito ) and Cerulea “blue person” ( 青 い 人 , aoi hito ). Inside, however, she is good-natured, which is reflected in the fact that she loves her mother and cats very much. She is often the one who urges the introverted Kuran to be a little more active with Saku. In their future, Saku and Kuran will lead normal lives. According to her name, she wears a red suit, as well as cat ears and a cat tail.
Mebuki Kozue ( 梢 芽 吹 , Kozue Mebuki )
Speaker: Ai Shimizu
She is the class representative ( 委員長 , iinchō ) of Saku. She is short and has more of the figure of an elementary school student, which gives her an inferiority complex in this regard. Her classmates make fun of her and call her iinshō ( 委員 小 ), with the word part for "leader (of the class committee)" being replaced by "small". She is a serious and decent person, and makes sure that others always behave themselves properly. However, when she gets into an extremely embarrassing interpersonal situation, she gets out of control and her behavior changes radically to the point that she becomes very sexually vicious.
Moegi ( も ぇ ぎ , German "light green")
Speaker: Nozomi Chikamura
Moegi is the future daughter of Saku and Mebuki. She is the oldest of the daughters and about the same age as Saku and his potential brides. She is the opposite of her mother in that she has large breasts, is not very smart, and is indecent. This leads to the fact that she is often disciplined or even spanked by Mebuki, who is described as a strict mother. She addresses her parents comparatively normally with Tō-san ( と ー さ ん ) for Saku and Kā-san ( か ー さ ん ) for Mebuki. In her future, Saku is an unemployed alcoholic, and Mebuki makes the family more badly by doing odd jobs. According to its name, Moegi wears clothes with green elements.
Cerulea Sakuraga ripple ( セ ル リ ァ ・ 桜 我 ・ ク ロ イ ゼ ル ン グ , Seruria Sakuraga Kuroizerungu )
Cerulea is the future daughter of Saku and Rosemarie and, along with Kiiro, is one of the youngest-looking daughters. She has an innocent and polite nature, which is why she calls Saku Tō-sama ( 父 様 , "honored father") and Rosemarie Kā-sama ( 母 様 , "honored mother"). She is called an angel by Saku and serves as the voice of reason for her quick-tempered mother. Its color motif is blue, as its name suggests.
Rosemarie Kruselung ( ロ ー ゼ マ リ ー ・ ク ロ イ ゼ ル ン グ , Rōzemarī Kuroizerungu )
Rosemarie comes from a respected German exorcist family. Originally she could not do anything with her daughter Cerulea. But after she looked at her closely, she fell in love with her, which is why Cerulea is the only one about whom the extremely quick-tempered Rosemarie can be said about.
Mobu ( 茂 部 )
Mobu is a classmate of Saku. She is extremely naive and gullible, easily goes with the flow and is later described as indecent.
Rausu ( ラ ウ ス )
Rausu is an android who was created as an assistant by Saku in a future where he couldn't choose a woman and became misanthropic. At first she appears as an opponent who wants to destroy the future of all daughters. However, her intention is for Saku to decide, because she is of the opinion that the future Saku, whose hatred of people ultimately indirectly destroyed humanity, created them in human form because he still had hope in humanity inside.

Publications

The manga was first published in Akita Shotens His - manga magazine Champion Red Ichigo from Issue 4 (October 5, 2007). It appeared there every two months up to issue 9 (August 5, 2008). Then the manga switched to the monthly parent magazine Champion Red , which appears monthly, and ran there from issue 12/2008 (October 19, 2008) to 10/2011 (August 19, 2011).

The chapters were then summarized in six anthologies ( Tankōbon ), with Volume 1 containing all the chapters from Champion Red Ichigo :

  1. October 20, 2008, ISBN 978-4-253-23401-6 .
  2. June 19, 2009, ISBN 978-4-253-23402-3 .

The chapter numbering of the series is different in the magazine and anthology publication. With the magazine chapters, the numbering started again from the beginning when the magazine was changed. In addition, in issue 2/2010 it was forgotten to count up the numbering, which was only corrected in issue 9/2010. In contrast, the 41 chapters of the anthologies were continuously counted up.

The 9/2010 edition (July 19, 2010) of Champion Red also included a radio play CD on Yomeiro Choice .

Conception

Tenkla's original idea was to create a "slightly erotic harem- romantic comedy". In order to achieve this “light eroticism”, he came up with the idea of enriching the usual harem or romantic comedy with the scenario with the daughters. The vehicle of romantic comedy can be found primarily in the chapters from the first volume or those published in Champion Red Ichigo . On the other hand, after switching to Champion Red, the focus is on the gags, which, due to the basic plot, are often of a sexual nature with little restraint, and are sometimes on the border with pornography. For this reason, all volumes were classified as harmful to minors by Nagasaki Prefecture according to the youth protection ordinance there.
