KK Akita Shoten ( 株式会社秋田 書店 Kabushiki kaisha Akita Shoten , English Akita Publishing Co., Ltd. ) is a Japanese publisher that was founded on August 10, 1948 in Chiyoda by Teio Akita ( 秋田 貞 夫 ). The company mainly publishes mangas of the genre Shōnen and Shōjo . The magazines Shōnen Champion and Princess are among the most important magazines in their division in Japan. The publishing program includes the mangas Black Jack , Cutey Honey , Tenchi Muyo , My-Hime and Mobile Suit Gundam .
