Gekkan Princess ( Japanese 月刊 プ リ ン セ ス ) is a Japanese manga magazine that is aimed at a young female audience and therefore belongs to the Shōjo category. The core target group are young people and high school students. Most of the series included are about everyday stories in school. The publication also contains articles and advertising, especially on fashion and jewelry, as well as posters with attractive men. The magazine has been published every 6th month by Akita Shoten since 1974 . The sister magazine Princess Gold has been published by the same publisher since 1979 .
