The Chameleon is an American thriller from 1995 .

DEA agent Willie Serling's wife and child were murdered. He cannot cope with the loss and suspects the mafia boss Alberto Cortessi to be the man behind the crime.
An FBI raid on the Cortessi organization fails. Agent Matt Gianni believes that the operation was betrayed to the criminals. Serling is smuggled into the prison where Cortessi is serving his sentence. There he gains background knowledge about the financing of drug deals. He falls in love with the busy Jill Hallman.
Gianni is increasingly concerned that Serling can distinguish between his role and reality.
