Bangerz is the fourth studio album by the American singer Miley Cyrus . It was released on October 4, 2013 under the RCA Records label after Cyrus signed a recording deal there earlier this year. Bangerz was # 1 on the US album charts and went platinum in the United States .

Cyrus announced in March 2013, two months after signing a recording deal with RCA Records , that a new album would be released at the end of that year. On August 6, 2013, Cyrus announced the title of the album on Twitter. In addition, the singer sees the music of Bangerz as adult and sexy, as she said in an interview. Most of the songs on the album are pop , but some songs have hip-hop and country elements too.

We can't stop

Cyrus announced the album's first single, We Can't Stop , on May 19, 2013 at the Billboard Music Awards and released it on June 3, 2013. The song was # 2 on the US charts and # 1 in New Zealand and Great Britain . In the US, the song was awarded three times platinum . The music video for We Can't Stop was released on June 19, 2013. The video broke the record for the most viewed video in 24 hours of publication with 10.7 million views, and the fastest video to reach 100 million views in 37 days.

wrecking ball

Wrecking Ball was released as the second single on the album on August 25, 2013. It reached # 1 in several countries such as the US, Canada and the UK. The music video followed on September 9, 2013, which caused a sensation because it shows Cyrus naked on a wrecking ball. With 19.3 million views within 24 hours, the video broke a record it held for almost a year. Furthermore, received Wrecking Ball several awards including platinum in Germany, 5x platinum in the United States and 11 times-platinum in Norway .

Adore you

Adore You was released as the third and final single on the album on December 17, 2013, followed by the music video on December 26, 2013. With number 21 in the Billboard Hot 100 , Adore You could not build on the two previous singles on the album.
