Manuel Straube (born July 28, 1984 in Munich ) is a German dubbing actor , dubbing director , dialog book author and singer .

Career

It is mainly used in vocal parts. His best-known roles are Stewie from Family Guy , Ed from Speck in Heaven and Chicken , Josh Nichols (played by Josh Peck ) in Drake & Josh and Phil Balow (played by Adam Goldberg ) in Man About Town . He has also been the German voice of Martin Freeman since 2012 . Straube lent his voice to actors Jason Earles ( Hannah Montana ), Kenny Fisher ( American High ), Sam Huntington ( Law & Order ), and Chad Faust ( 4400 - The Returners ) in television series . He also spoke in real films for Adam Hann-Byrd ( Jumanji ), Chad Michael Murray ( Freaky Friday ) and Eli Marienthal ( Confessions of a High School Diva ). In Rocketman , a biopic about Elton John , Straube dubbed the lead role, played by Taron Egerton .

In 2007 Manuel Straube spoke the role of Phineas in the animated series Phineas and Ferb , but was replaced by Patrick Schröder for the remainder of the first season , as he was canceled due to a vocal cord irritation. From the beginning of the second season, Straube speaks and sings the role of Phineas again. In the Disney animated film Rapunzel - New Feet , he took on the vocal parts for Moritz Bleibtreu as Flynn Rider , just as he did for Robin Kahnmeyer in 2013 in the Disney animated film Frozen - Totally Unabashed as Hans .

Since 2009 he has been the dubbing author for the German version of the Disney television series Jonas - Die Serie and has been the dubbing director for the voice recordings .

When Straube began dubbing Stewie Griffin in Family Guy in 2002 , he was "just" 18 years old.

Straube took on the role of "Junkrat" in the video game Overwatch , which was released on May 24, 2016.
