Adhir Kalyan
Adhir Kalyan (born August 4, 1983 in Durban , South Africa ) is a South African actor .
Life
Adhir Kalyan was born in Durban, South Africa, the son of MP Sandy Kalyan . Kalyan belongs to the Indian minority who immigrated to South Africa in the 19th century. After graduating from Crawford College in Durban, Kalyan starred in several South African productions and theater performances before moving to London in 2005 to pursue his film career. He was hired after an episode each in Holby City and Spooks - In the sights of MI5 for the lead role of the American sitcom Aliens in America . The series was discontinued, but after a few small film roles in The Department Store Cop , Fired Up! and Up in the Air , Kalyan starred in the sitcom Rules of Engagement from 2009 to 2013 .
