Joshua "Josh" Michael Peck (born November 10, 1986 in New York City ) is an American actor , voice actor , comedian and web video producer . He began acting in the late 1990s and was best known in Germany for his role as Josh Nichols in the Nickelodeon series Drake & Josh .

Life

Josh Peck was born in New York . His parents were unmarried at the time of his birth and he never met his father. Peck grew up with his Jewish mother and his maternal grandmother. He had asthma and often stayed at home during his childhood and watched old TV series. This inspired him and at the age of eight he decided to become a comedian ; he has appeared in various children's theaters and improvised all of his jokes at Caroline's Comedy Club for the Audrey Hepburn Foundation. In 1999, at the suggestion of his mother, he accepted a role on The Amanda Show on Nickelodeon and decided to move to San Francisco to continue his career.

He starred in the Amanda Show and in the films Snow Free and Max Keeble's Big Plan .

He also works with the ONE Campagne , the world's largest coalition to fight poverty .

Since 2017 Peck has been operating a YouTube channel with over 3.65 million subscribers (May 2020).

He has been married since July 2017; in December 2018 he became the father of a son.
