ATM Deadly Trap is an American psychological thriller directed by David Brooks from 2012. The screenplay was written by Chris Sparling. Three young people do not dare to leave an ATM room because a dangerous killer is waiting outside. ATM refers to an automatic teller machine .

action

The three New York yuppies Corey, Emily and David are on their way home after a company party. The stop at an ATM is said to have unexpected consequences. From the service room, they watch a brutal murder. But the murderer has no intention of leaving the scene. He is waiting in the adjacent parking lot, his gaze fixed on the group. He knocks down a security guard as well as his previous victim, a passerby who only walked his dog. In a panic, David slams into the ATM, hoping to trigger an alarm.

Then the perpetrator unexpectedly enters the room. Corey and David pounce on him, beat him up, and eventually strangle him with a chain. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop the threat. The intruder looked just like the perpetrator. The mysterious perpetrator is still sneaking around the building. Corey doesn't keep it in the machine room after this shock. He runs across the parking lot, trips and falls. The killer takes the opportunity and slowly and painfully stabs Corey, who is lying on the ground. David dares to go outside and drags Corey back into the machine room, as the seriously injured man shows the last signs of life.

Again and again, the murderer messes with the back of the machine room. The perpetrator locks the door with David's car, but instead of breaking through the wall, water suddenly flows through the ventilation shaft - the three threaten to drown. David and Emily quickly collect all the brochures on display and set them on fire in a metal wastebasket to trigger the sprinkler system . Since David cannot get to the sprinkler system sensor alone, Emily climbs onto his shoulder. An emergency call is automatically made to the security authorities. When they can finally trigger the system, David slips and falls over, with Emily banging her head on a flyer shelf and lying motionless in the water. Now only David is conscious. The killer drives the security guard's car into David's car, which is then pushed into the machine room. The arriving police take him into custody. They ignore his references to the real perpetrator and his resistance.

In the epilogue, the viewer sees the perpetrator studying site plans at a drawing table in preparation for the next crime of the same species.
