Stone Bridge 15 (Quedlinburg)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The house Stone Bridge 15 was a Grade II listed building in the town of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The three-story half - timbered house was located in the southern part of the historic Quedlinburg old town. The building with a high, steep roof was known as the birthplace of the geographer Carl Ritter, born in 1779 . In 1956 the house, as well as the buildings adjoining Steinbrücke 16 and 17 to the north, were demolished for the new construction of today's Carl-Ritter-Straße. Since then, Carl-Ritter-Strasse has been connecting Steinbrücke Strasse with the Wordgarten area to the south-west and was intended to relieve traffic in the city center.
