The house stone bridge 6 is a Grade II listed building in the town of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .
location
It is located south of the Quedlinburg market square in the historic Quedlinburg old town and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . In the Quedlinburg monument register it is registered as a residential and commercial building. The building Steinbrücke 4, 5 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the north and the building Steinbrücke 7 to the south .
Architecture and history
The three-storey half - timbered house was built around 1680. The decorations from the construction period are only preserved in the fields on the edge. In 1899 a shop was added on the ground floor. In this context, the facade was changed and new windows were installed. The upper floors protrude slightly on both the street and courtyard side. The façade facing the courtyard is simple and has wooden legs .
On the west side of the courtyard is a three-story half-timbered building from the 19th century, which is now used for residential purposes. The north wing was built around 1800 and has a closed gallery on the second floor.
