David Buckley (composer)

David Buckley (* 7. June 1976 in London ) is a British composer of film music .

As an active musician

Buckley is a baritone with a sensationally deep vocal range. He was a member of the choir at Gonville and Caius College , Cambridge (England), recorded with the Oxford Camerata and took singing lessons from its founder and director, Jeremy Summerly , and co-founded the Choir of London .

With the film

Buckley works on a broad basis with the composer Harry Gregson-Williams (video game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots ).

Buckley has composed for information and entertainment television shows and has written the music for several films including Town Creek (2008, directed by Joel Schumacher ), The Forbidden Kingdom (2009, directed by Rob Minkoff ; the first film with both Jackie Chan like with Jet Li ), The Black Heart (2009, directed by Michael Cuesta ) and From Paris with Love (2010, directed by Pierre Morel ; with John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers ). For the film The Town (2010), directed by Ben Affleck , Buckley created the music with Gregson-Williams. In 2011 he worked again with Trespass for a film by director Joel Schumacher.
