action

The diamond dealer Kyle Miller and his wife Sarah are a wealthy couple. Together with their daughter Avery, they enjoy the seemingly happy life in their spacious villa. But the family has problems: Avery has no respect for her parents and secretly sneaks out of the house to go to a party, even though she was forbidden to do so. Sarah is also dissatisfied with her situation; she does not fulfill the role of housewife.

A brutal crime quartet invades the villa in the hope of a big coup and takes the family hostage. The situation does not develop as planned by the kidnappers: Kyle does not want to cooperate, and his wife recognizes one of the masked criminals. Jonah, with whom he thought she was having an affair, had security equipment installed in the house. The criminals first claim to need money for a kidney transplant; but one later reveals himself to be a drug dealer who has to raise money because he has lost a large sum. Kyle pretends to be poor; the vault, where the gangsters suspect money and diamonds, is empty. Jonah has a mental illness; he imagines that Sarah has feelings for him as much as he has for her. In the course of the confrontation, two crooks shoot each other, Avery incapacitates the gangster bride, the injured Kyle and his wife are able to flee from the inflamed property, where Jonah, whom he shot, dies amidst burning bundles of money. The family is in each other's arms, the police and rescue workers arrive.
