Nico Tortorella

Nico Tortorella (* the 30th July 1988 in Wilmette , Illinois as Nicolo Luigi Tortorella ) is an American actor , model and author .

Career

Tortorella was born in Wilmette , Illinois into an Italian family and is a graduate of New Trier High School .

In 2009 Tortorella starred in series roles in The Beautiful Life as a supermodel and in the youth series Make It or Break It ; the latter had a final guest appearance for an episode in 2010. That year he played a small supporting role as Tobias in the Joel Schumacher film Twelve . In 2011, Tortorella starred in Scream 4 , written and produced by Kevin Williamson , who cast Tortorella in his 2013 series The Following . That year there was also a small appearance in the movie Odd Thomas ; the first leading role in a film followed in 2014 in Hunter & Game . Tortorella has played a leading role in Younger since 2015 and has hosted How Far is Tattoo Far? Since 2018 . .

Tortorella started the podcast The Love Bomb in 2016 and published the volume of poetry all of it is you in April 2018 and the memoir Space Between: Explorations of Love, Sex, and Fluidity in September 2019 .

In 2020 Tortorella took part in RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race under the drama name Olivette Isyou (based on the title of the poetry book). Tortorella will also be featured in The Walking Dead spin-off World Beyond .

Personal

Tortorella claims to be sexually fluid, bisexual , queer , polyamorous and demisexual as a sexual identity . Tortorella has been in a relationship with Bethany C. Meyers since 2006, which she leads as a polyamorous open relationship . They were married on March 9, 2018 at St. Paul's Chapel in Manhattan ; Her clothing, combinations of dress and pants or suit and robe, designed by Andrew Morrison, she described as "gender-bending" and androgynous . They wrote an article about their wedding for them magazine that included their vows. In May 2018, in a video with drag queen Trinity Taylor, Tortorella stated that she identified herself as gender-fluid and therefore uses the gender-neutral pronoun they in English .
