Younger is an American television series that premiered on March 31, 2015 on TV Land . Due to good ratings and reviews, the series was extended for a second after its first season was completed. Even before the second season was broadcast, the broadcaster decided to extend the series for a third season. On June 14, 2016, the broadcaster announced that there would be a fourth season and on April 20, 2017 the fifth season of the series was officially confirmed. On June 4, 2018, the series was extended for a sixth season. Originally, this season should no longer be broadcast on TVLand, but on Paramount Network . However, this step was revised again in April 2019. In July 2019, the series was extended for a seventh season.

After separating from her husband, Liza Miller is forced to return to work after being a housewife and mother for the past 20 years. Her daughter Caitlin is now attending college and traveling the world. However, Liza has to painfully discover that a 40-year-old woman who has not worked in recent years has practically no chances on the job market in the publishing industry.
To give Liza other ideas, her friend Maggie, a lesbian artist, takes Liza to a bar. There she meets Josh, a 26-year-old man who, however, believes that Liza is the same age as him. This leads Maggie to persuade Liza to pose as a 26-year-old on the job market by forging her personal information. In fact, she gets a job as Diana Trout's assistant on the editorial team of Empirical Press. Diana is the same age as Liza, but criticizes her youthful behavior because she thinks Liza is 26. Liza makes friends with her young colleague Kelsey and her friend Lauren. Over time, however, Liza has more and more remorse because she actually wants to tell everyone that she is 40 years old and not 26.
