Charles Michael Davis (born December 1, 1984 in Dayton , Ohio ) is an American actor and model .

Life

Davis is of African American and Filipino descent. His father is from Kentucky and his mother from Manila . Davis began his career as a model and advertising face for Nike and FootLocker.

He made his acting debut in 2005 in one episode each of Noah's Arc and Raven looks through . He appeared in two television films between 2008 and 2010 before receiving a supporting role as Liam in the first season of the ABC Family drama series Switched at Birth in 2011 . He then played the role of Kwan Kirkland in The Game from 2011 to 2012 . He became known in 2013 for the supporting role of Dr. Jason Myers on the ABC television series Grey's Anatomy . As Ben Dalton he appeared in two episodes of The Client List that year .

After a guest appearance in April 2013 in the backdoor pilot episode , which was shown on Vampire Diaries , since 2013 he has also played the lead role of Marcel Gerard in its spin-off The Originals , which marked his breakthrough.
