Navy CIS: New Orleans (Original Title: NCIS: New Orleans ) is an American crime series , which is from the investigative team of the New Orleans- based branch of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). The investigative team is investigating crimes related to the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps and their relatives , as in the Navy CIS parenting series . In the eleventh season of Navy CIS , the series was introduced as a backdoor pilot , which was later ordered as a series by CBS .

In April 2019, the series was extended by CBS for a sixth season.

Germany

As with Navy CIS and Navy CIS: LA , Sat.1 has secured the broadcasting rights for Germany and announced that it will be broadcast during the program presentation. On September 14, 2014 the backdoor pilot was shown on Sat.1; Regular broadcasting began on April 12, 2015 and ended on August 23, 2015. An average of 0.96 million (8.3 percent) of the advertising-relevant target group and 2.07 million (6.6 percent) of the total audience watched the first season.

From January 10, 2016 to January 17, 2017, Sat.1 broadcast the second season. With the third season, kabel eins took over the broadcast, starting with the first episode on December 8, 2017.

Pay TV will start broadcasting on 13th Street on October 6, 2015 .

The highest number of viewers in Germany was measured on January 24, 2016 on Sat.1 with 3.49 million viewers. It ran the third episode of the second season.

Switzerland

In Switzerland, the backdoor pilot was shown as a German-language first broadcast on 3+ on September 9, 2014 . The regular broadcast began on April 10, 2015 and ended on September 4, 2015. Since January 8, 2016, 3+ has been broadcasting the second season as a German-language premiere.

Ellen Gray of the Philadelphia Daily News drew the following conclusion on September 24, 2014: "The reliable formula remains: a colorful, mutually supportive family in the workplace who solves puzzles with technical brains and a pinch of humor."

Alessandra Stanley of the New York Times stated that while the show may not be great , it probably wo n't kill anyone watching it.

At IMDb.com , the series has a rating of 6.8 / 10 based on 10,737 votes (as of April 2018). The first season received 65% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes .

Trivia

As with the original series Navy CIS and the first offshoot Navy CIS: LA , Sat.1 with the name Navy CIS: New Orleans again chose a wrong title that deviates from the original, the “N” in “NCIS” stands for “Naval” in the original "And not for" Navy ".
