Altamir de Moura

Altamir de Moura (born November 16, 1903 in Rio de Janeiro , † 1988 ) was a Brazilian diplomat .

Life

Altamir de Moura married Eizà Gurgel de Moura their daughter is Beatriz de Moura Gurgel (* 1939 in Rio de Janeiro ). In 1930 he completed a Bachelor -Studies of Law and Social Sciences at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro from.

A few years later he entered the diplomatic service and was employed as chargé d'affaires in La Paz from April 6 to July 14, 1934 and in Quito from November 20, 1940 to July 2, 1941 . On December 13, 1952 he was accepted into the Order of Malta . From 1954 to 1956 he headed the Departamento Politico Cultural and was concerned with the border at Roboré .

In 1958 he was consul general in Barcelona and was appointed ambassador to Santo Domingo . He was then used from January 28, 1965 to November 14, 1968 as ambassador to Damascus and from May 21, 1968 to September 5, 1972 in Baghdad .
