Murillo de Miranda Bastos Júnior (* 1920 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian diplomat .

Life

Murillo de Miranda Bastos Júnior is the son of Murillo de Miranda Bastos, who was director of the Mapoteca des Itamaratí from 1935 and, with Jaime Cortesão, organized the Curso de História da Cartografia, Geografia das Fronteiras do Brasil e Mapoteconomia as part of an Itamaraty training program in 1944 .

Murillo de Miranda Bastos Júnior made his Abitur at the Liceu Pedro Nunes in Lisbon , where he arrived II Colégio Pedro , Portuguese Literature studied. In 1953 he entered the foreign service and in 1959 was employed at the embassy in Buenos Aires . August 27, 1963 to January 28, 1965, he was a Brazilian charge d'affaires in Damascus worked and received on October 5, 1965 exequatur as consul in Hong Kong . Murillo de Miranda Basto Júnior was then appointed from February 17 to March 24, 1970 as chargé d'affaires at the Consulate General in Zurich .

On November 30, 2004, he was elected to the board of the Associação dos Diplomatas Brasileiros , where he was in charge of the pensioners' department.
