The Amanda Show is an American sketch comedy show by Dan Schneider , which ran from October 6, 1999 to September 21, 2002 on the American broadcaster Nickelodeon , but was never shown in Germany except for a small scene. The leading actress is Amanda Bynes , the second leading actor is Drake Bell , and another actress is Nancy Sullivan . Raquel Lee and John Kassir were only there in the first season and then left the show, in the second season Josh Peck was added. The show had three seasons with a total of 40 episodes, after the show was turned off, six best-of episodes were put together. The show was canceled because Amanda Bynes signed on to another broadcaster. Drake Bell and Josh Peck got their own series Drake & Josh a year and a half later , which also featured Nancy Sullivan.

Episode 1

The episode starts with a crowd trying to get on the Amanda Show, and Penelope Taynt, who is a 12 year old Amanda fan and adds the word "please" to the end of almost every sentence, would do anything to help Amanda to meet. In the meantime, Amanda approaches in a helicopter. But when the pilot falls asleep, Amanda has to jump out of the helicopter and lands on the set. Kenan Thompson and Josh Server (who starred with Amanda on All That She Wants ) bring Amanda a pizza and congratulate her on her new show. Then the Amanda Show shows her first sketch with judge Trudy, who favors the children and punishes the adults in a ridiculous way. Then the show meets the Klutzes, a family whose members always break things and say: "No problem" ...

Episode 2

The episode starts with Amanda not being on the guest list for some reason, so she has to fight 3 security guards to get through. The two most unsuccessful thugs in the school, Jack ( Amanda Bynes ) and Jake (Raquel Lee) try to cause trouble, but none of their crimes work out. Later, in the "Plasticine Amanda" sketch, Amanda goes on a date with a boy with a huge pimple that she somehow falls in love with. Next, the show introduces The Simians, who are a strange half-ape family. Finally, Amanda has a little fun with a phone prank on Mr. Oldman, who is actually Dan Schneider , the inventor of the show ...

Amanda, Drake and Raquel are eating. Drake has a lobster, which makes the dancing lobsters very angry, so they leave the room. Penelope spreads over 50 phones around her so she can try to win a dinner with Amanda in a radio competition. She wins, but when the radio calls her back, she doesn't know which phone to pick up. First, Judge Trudy punishes and condemns the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fima, who cut their son Jason Fima's pocket money, and Mrs. Drummell, who sent their daughter Amy to her room. Second, the show features the girls' toilet sketch, in which Sheila, Tammy and Debbie vote for Amber.
